1. Agreement
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Gyan Prakash and Sons ("we", "us", "our"), for use of the Houss mobile application and related services (the "Service").
By creating an account, logging in, or using Houss, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. About Houss
Houss is a household coordination app for Indian homes. It helps families and domestic staff coordinate daily activities such as meals, driver trips, shopping, attendance, leave, calendar events, gate intake, staff duty checklists, voice commands, vehicles, appliances, expenses, staff documents, and related household operations.
Houss is a coordination tool. It is not an employment agency, payroll statutory compliance service, security agency, or legal advisor.
3. Eligibility
You must:
- Be at least 18 years old to register as an owner, family member, or staff user
- Provide a valid Indian mobile number (+91) for login
- Use Houss only for lawful household coordination
Child accounts may only be created by a household owner who controls permissions for that child.
During closed beta, login may use a shared test OTP; real SMS will apply before public launch.
4. Accounts and households
4.1 Your account
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping OTP login codes private.
4.2 Household owner (master admin)
The person who creates a household is the master admin. The master admin may invite family and staff, set permissions, manage settings, and control subscription access (when paid plans are enabled).
4.3 Staff and family members
Staff and family join only by invitation. Staff may belong to more than one household; data between households is kept separate.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Houss for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access another household's data
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through the app
- Upload illegal, offensive, or non-consensual images
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
- Misrepresent your identity or role
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
6. Staff, employers, duty checklists, and payroll
6.1 Employment relationship
Houss does not create an employment relationship between family members and domestic staff. Employers remain solely responsible for wages, statutory payments, contracts, working hours, labour law compliance, and workplace safety.
6.2 Duty checklists
Staff duty checklists help households track standing daily/weekly/monthly work. They are coordination aids, not employment contracts or statutory attendance records.
6.3 Payroll features
Payroll tools in Houss (salary, advances, deductions) are household ledger aids for convenience. They are not a guarantee of correct statutory payroll, tax filing, PF/ESI, or legal compliance.
6.4 Voice commands
Voice (when available on your plan) lets you speak or type commands that preview and create meals, driver bookings, or shopping items. You are responsible for reviewing the preview before confirming. Audio is not retained as a permanent recording (see Privacy Policy).
7. Subscriptions and payments
7.1 Plans
Houss may offer Free, Plan A (Plus), and Plan B (Multi) tiers with different limits and features.
7.2 Testing / closed beta
Razorpay is not live yet. During beta, we may enable plans via promo codes without charging real money.
7.3 Paid subscriptions (when live)
When billing is active, paid plans may be processed through Razorpay and/or Google Play / Apple App Store billing.
7.4 Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, available at www.houss.co.in and on request at info@houss.co.in.
7.5 Cancellation
You may cancel renewal according to the method provided in the app or app store.
8. Content and photos
You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content only to provide the Service to your household and as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
Houss, its logo, design, and software are owned by Gyan Prakash and Sons or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for household coordination.
10. Service availability and changes
We aim to keep Houss available and improving, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. During alpha, beta, or testing, the Service may change frequently.
11. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Houss does not guarantee that staff will perform tasks or that household outcomes will meet your expectations.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, Gyan Prakash and Sons and our suppliers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of Houss.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) ₹5,000, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where limitation is not permitted.
[Counsel may refine this section before public launch.]
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gyan Prakash and Sons against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of others' rights, except to the extent caused by our fault.
14. Termination
You may stop using Houss at any time and request account deletion per our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required by law.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer protection laws that may give you rights in your place of residence.
We encourage you to contact info@houss.co.in first to resolve concerns informally.

- Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
